The route is on "B" and "C" class tarred roads from Brechin past Tigerton and up the Glen Lethnot road.

Leaving the Glen lethnot road and heading cross country the route heads up the White Caterthun following a narrow path through heather to the summit and a height of 298m then to descend and re-join the tarred road heading back into Brechin via Little Brechin.
