THE WHITE CATERTHUN RACE
THE WHITE CATERTHUN RACE
WeLCOME TO THE WHITE CATERTHUN RACE
NEWS
Starting at Brechin High School the route of the half marathon quickly takes you out into the rolling countryside Angus and heading for the foothills of the Glens.
Half way through the 13.1 mile course the route cuts off-road and climbs directly over the top of the White Caterthun following a series of narrow tracks before rejoining the road and descending back down into the farmlands and finally back to the high school where there will be a warm welcome and finishers medal for all.
At the same time there will be a shorter and less challenging 5K Fun Run, you must be at least ten years old for this race.
Both races are Scottishathletics permit events organised under UK Athletics rules.
Proceeds from both races will go to the Guide Dogs Charity in aid of the organisers London Flora Marathon fund.
Cancellation of 2012 race -
Sadly, due to an ever increasing demand for higher health and safety standards it has become untenable to continue to promote this race with the minimal number of staff available to the organisers.
I would like to thank everyone who has helped out in the last three years and all the entrants who have taken part in the race.
